Goody Deals: Free Reading!
In my house the one thing we can never have too many of are books. So when I came across this guide to The Ten Best Places To Get Free Books via Lifehacker I jumped for joy! One of the coolest on the list is Book Mooch where, using the principle "one man’s trash is another’s treasure," you can swap your duds for great reads. But that’s not all the reading related freebies I’ve got today. What about totally adorable bookplates by famous children’s book illustrators that you can download in black and white or color at My Home Library. I saw this at Melissa’s Buzz Off where she has a whole round-up of bookplates. But after seeing the ones that you can print out at home, I don’t know why you’d buy any. Check these out:
First you there’s a whole collection in color. I think you could print out a bunch of these and wrap them up with a book for a great present.
Then there are black and white ones. Now if you printed them out on colored paper or let the kids color them in, I think that would be pretty fun too (after all,the Easter Egg dyeing activity is about to come to end so it’s time for some new projects).
I really liked this one for a picture book, and dare you to find any kid who wouldn’t want to check off how many times he’s read the book. Keep On Rockin’(and reading) In the Free World!
